Sri Lanka fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep has been ruled out of Bangladesh match on Tuesday after dislocating his little finger of his bowling arm during the nets session on Sunday, June 9.
Pradeep who was named the Player of the Match in Sri Lanka's encounter against Afghanistan last week for his match-winning spell of 4/31, injured himself in the nets while bowling to Kusal Perera. The bowler put his right hand up to protect his face from a straight shot hit back at him and injured himself in the process.
Sri Lanka Confirmed that he will not take part in the world cup game against Bangladesh
"Nuwan was given treatment at the hospital, while the doctors reset his dislocated finger and the cut on his finger was closed with stitches. He was also administered with antibiotics. Pradeep will not take part in Sri Lanka’s game against Bangladesh on Tuesday, as he will need a week’s time to recover from the injury."
in the worst case scenario, Pradeep will be replaced by Kasun Rajitha, who has been traveling with the team in the capacity of a stand-by player.
