Pakistan minister for science and technology Fawad Chaudhry took to Twitter and stated that former Indian skipper MS dhoni deserved the loss that India faced at the hands of the hosts England. He termed it as a "disgraceful exit" and blamed the Indian wicketkeeper for polluting the gentleman's game with fixing and bias.
MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav were questioned for their lack of intent in the group stage game against England when India required 71 runs off the last five overs with five wickets remaining but the duo only scored 40 runs as India lost the game by 31 runs.
Fawad tweeted, " Dhoni you deserved such 'disgraceful exit' for polluting the gentleman's game with fixing and bias."
He even tweeted, " Pakistanion ki nayi Mohabbat New Zealand" ( New Zealand is Pakistan's, new love).
His comments have faced severe criticism by cricket fans from all over the world on the social media platform as the former Indian Skipper is well respected for his contribution to the game of cricket.
