PCB receives an email Regarding a possible attack on Indian Cricket Team in West Indies

Indian Cricket Team is currently in the West Indies and playing the three-day practice match against the WICB XI. The two-match Test series against the West indies is all set to get underway on 22nd of August in Antigua which will also mark the beginning of the World Test Championship (WTC) for both the teams. However, in a dramatic turn of events, it has been reported that the PCB has received an email regarding a possible attack on the Indian Cricket Team in the Caribbean islands.

This comes as a very shocking news for everyone as the tensions between India and Pakistan continue to rise over the Kashmir issue. According to the reports in Geo TV, the PCB acted responsibly over the incident and reported the issue to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Now, It remains to be seen, how BCCI and the world cricketing body will react to this news and whether or not the security in the West Indies will be reviewed again. More details are awaited concerning the matter and it remains to be seen if the ongoing practice game will go ahead as planned even as the 2nd day is in progress.

Later, Aaj Tak reported that after a thorough investigation on the matter, the reports turned out to be untrue and there will be no changes in security arrangements for the Indian Cricket Team.

India declare on the overnight score

Meanwhile, as far as the current practice match is concerned, India declared their 1st innings with an overnight score of 297/5. Cheteshwar Pujara scored a ton before retiring himself later to give an opportunity to the other batsmen. Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul couldn't do much even after Rohit Sharma put up 68 runs. Even Hanuma Vihari did well to score 37 runs and stayed unbeaten.

Currently, the WICB XI is at 41 runs for just 2 wickets after 13 overs with Ishant Sharma picking both the wickets. This is a decent opportunity for India’s Test specialists to bring themselves back into form ahead of their first match of the Test Championship.

The World number 1 Test side, India might get disturbed after being aware of the shocking news which is going around.
